Privacy and electronic communication
The practice will take reasonable steps to keep your information confidential. Electronic communication and the devices or accounts used carry privacy risks that cannot be removed completely.
- 04
Use of health information
You consent to the practice using the personal and medical information reasonably necessary to assess and treat you, create the required clinical record and send appropriate clinical documents.
- 05
Identity and location
The practice will verify your identity and your physical location at the start of the consultation so that appropriate care or emergency guidance can be provided.
- 06
Recording
The consultation is not recorded by default. Any audio or video recording must be discussed and separately consented to before recording begins.
- 07
Children and guardians
For a child’s consultation, a parent or legal guardian must request the appointment, give consent and be present or immediately available during the call.
- 08
Emergencies
This is not an emergency service. For urgent or life-threatening concerns, seek immediate in-person care, call 112 from a mobile phone or call 10177 for an ambulance.
